School Community

Working Together

We believe that progress is greatest when school and parents work together to ensure the best outcomes for the children. Regular reports each term provide carers and parents with information on pupils’ progress and attainment. You are always able to make appointment to discuss your child’s progress directly with the teacher.

There is an active Parents, Teachers and Friends Association, who are supporting the school in fundraising and community events. We have good town centre links and embrace all the benefits that this brings.

PTA and Parent Council

At St. Mary’s school we have a fantastic PTA and Parent Council which are actively involved in the life of the school. All parents, guardians and staff are welcome as members.

The PTA has regular meetings which are open to everyone. They organise a range of events throughout the year which help to enrich the curriculum for pupils and raise funds which contribute to improvements within school and the purchasing of resources for children. Meetings are advertised on the school newsletter, website and in the infant cloakroom window. If you would like to attend the next meeting, have any suggestions or questions or simply want to find out any more information, please contact Mr Moore in Class 2.

The Parent Council also meet regularly to discuss any issues, concerns or improvements they would like to help make to the school. If you would like to contact the Parent Council you can email:
